Queswachaca Bridge Tour 1 day
Introduction
The Incas united the cities of the Great Tawantisuyo by roads and bridges; Q’eswachaka is an example and the only surviving bridge of Inca craftsmanship and ingenuity. Q’eswachaka is rebuilt every June by the local population in a unique festival of music and dance, which adds to the mysticism and sacredness of the ceremony that precedes the rebuilding.
This tour showcases the city’s vibrant culture in all its glory. Crossing this suspension bridge is a challenge and an adventure that you cannot miss.
Places to visit when visiting the Q’eswachaka Bridge: Combapata Viewpoint, Inca Bridge of “Q’eswachaka” and the lagoons of Pampamarca, Asnaqocha, Acopia and Pomacanchi.

Travel Guide
The farming communities of Perccaro, Huinchi and Qqewe are responsible for the reconstruction. The bridge is 33 m long and 1.20 m wide, only straw (ichu) is used as material, women are in charge of weaving the straw and men are in charge of building the bridge.
In the afternoon we return to Cusco, but the road holds a surprise for us, near the municipality of Hampatura are the impressive caves of Ccarañahui or Q’arañahui, located at 3,900 meters above sea level.
Visit to the Ccarañahui Caves
These caves are fantastic caves formed by marine sedimentary materials whose chemical composition is calcium hypochlorite, whose constant dripping has given rise to the formation of impressive stalagmites and stalactites with the strange shapes of pumas and condors. The cave is thousands of years old and in the background you can see a mysterious Appreciation Lagoon. According to legend, the Incas went to the cave to communicate spiritually with their gods.
Finally we return to Cusco and end the tour at the Inca Bridge of Queshuachaca
